SEMONE’S 12 DAYS AND TASTES OF XMAS

In England during the Middle Ages, this period was one of continuous feasting and merrymaking, which climaxed on Twelfth Night, the traditional end of the Christmas season. This special menu takes you through the christmas period with snacks and plates – all a taste sensation.

THE SNACKS OF XMAS EVE & XMAS DAY

Snow Cube – savoury tomato and parmesan marshmallow

Sausage Rolls – piccalilli puree and bacon

Smoked Salmon – Salmon pastrami on black cracker with dill

The Goose – goose nuggets with red cabbage ketchup

 

THE FEASTS AFTER CHRISTMAS

Boxing day leftovers -Artichoke bubble & squeak, fried cheese and quail egg

The tree – Plaice, herb and kale crumb, branches, leaves, brown butter and herb jus

A modern meal – Venison haunch, beetroots, mulled wine, pine

The Dickensian meal – beef fillet, oyster, champagne and coal.

 

SWEET NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

Toasted marshmallow –  salt caramel and raisin

Palette cleanser – cranberry and yoghurt sorbet – gingerbread cracker

Snow – White chocolate pannacotta, aero, meringue, snow
