M DEN Threadneedle St, 10th October – 10th November
£39.50 + 12.5% service charge for non-member & £33.57 for members
Throughout October at M Threadneedle Street, M DEN is being transformed into a spooktacular feast for the eyes in collaboration with renowned street artist Rich Simmons and his Skullerfly exhibition.
His artwork conveys a metamorphosis from negative to positive and pain to freedom through beautiful illustrations of skulls and butterflies. Inspired by the exhibition, Executive Chef Mike Reid has created a complementary menu available on request exclusively for only two tables per night. The special four-course menu commences with Greenhouse, an edible garden using dandelion to represent the Skullerfly window display.
Next, the morbidly entitled Bones dish sees the finest Wagyu ox cheek paired with a bone broth and bone marrow potatoes in a bespoke skull bowl. This is followed by Chocolate Swarm a salted chocolate tart representing a swarm of butterflies, served with almond ice cream. Finally, Copper-com, is a series of fun copper-inspired petit-fours designed to reflect the lighter side of Rich Simmon’s art influenced by the likes of comic strips such as Copper.
