The M & Bookatable Young Chef of the Year Contest is back for its third year, showcasing the wealth of great young talent in the industry. This year we are partnering with The Clink Charity, who aims to break the cycle of crime by changing attitudes, creating second chances and reducing reoffending rates – all starting in the kitchen.
Each prisoner who works in a Clink Restaurant studies for accredited NVQs in food preparation, food service and cleaning. Whilst working in a Clink Restaurant prisoners gain experience within an operational business and receive in-depth guidance to find full-time employment within the hospitality industry upon release. A fantastic charity partner for a competition helping to support and nurture young taletn in the hospitality industry!
Guest Chef Paul Clarkson from The Clink will be taking over M RAW supported by a team of Clink graduates including Kevin and Eddie to bring you an incredible 4-course menu. All money raised on the evening will go to support the work of The Clink Charity who reduce reoffending by training serving prisoners towards gaining their accredited qualifications in Food & Beverage Service.
