M Charities

We are delighted that we will partner and support three charities this year…

Terrence Higgins Trust

Founded in 1982, Terrence Higgins Trust was the first charity in the UK to be set up in response to the AIDS epidemic and has been at the forefront of the fight against HIV ever since.

Today it is the leading HIV and sexual health charity with centres across England, Scotland and Wales, providing sexual health checks, counselling and support groups. Terrence Higgins Trust secures public and political support for HIV and sexual health issues, and campaigns to eradicate stigma and discrimination.

M will be partnering with the ‘School of Hard Knocks’ to create employment for selected candidates who have completed their courses.

School of Hard Knocks is a social inclusion charity which runs courses that use sport to tackle the issues surrounding unemployment, antisocial behaviour, crime and health. The charity has an expert team of coaches and mentors and is supported by a wide range of high profile individuals from within and outside sport and is one of the most effective and high profile courses in the UK, working with some of the most hard to reach individuals in our society to get them into employment

We are delighted to support ‘Not For Sale’ This March sees a 10 night pop-up restaurant inside M Victoria St named M IS NOT FOR SALE; a collaboration between M and Prof David Batstone’s ‘Not for Sale’ social program and business model that fights Modern Slavery and Sex Trafficking around the globe. You can find out more about the NFS organisation here!

Our goal is twofold. The first is to raise awareness about the 45M people in slavery today and the NFS businesses led by entrepreneurs that feed the social intervention and scalable ventures that give safe shelter, jobs and confidence to the victims. Secondly, all profits from M is not for sale will go towards the NFS projects in five countries (which we have designed the five course menu around).
