The Rare Wine Club is an elite experiential environment for discerning drinkers who appreciate all aspects of wine. It gives the opportunity to access an elevated level of knowledge via a unique platform for members to consume, learn about and purchase the world’s best wine, via one of the UK’s leading restaurant groups.
The Rare Fine Wine List
At the heart of the Rare Wine Club is its newly launched list, serving the best-value wine list in the City of London from M restaurant on Threadneedle Street. To give our diners access to some of the world’s finest wines at the best possible price, we simply add a £50 margin to our cost price.
That margin – effectively a corkage fee – stays the same no matter what bottle or vintage you are buying. We are offering the likes of La Cache for just £5,050, which is some 28% cheaper than other leading restaurants in the City.

Rare Restaurants is an accredited trainer of Wine Spirits Education Trust (WSET) affiliated courses. WSET qualifications are internationally regarded as the global benchmark for wine and spirits education. The majority of the world’s sommeliers will have received at least a WSET qualification.
We have selected a band of engaging, knowledgeable people on our wine team across our restaurants to become trainers. They promise excellent teaching, delivered with the same passion and enthusiasm which you have when it comes to wine. Training will take place in the iconic private dining room The Wine Room at Gaucho Piccadilly, taught by home-grown Gaucho wine educators.
The Level One course takes one day to complete; Level Two, two days and Level Three a month, with at least six hours private study required.

If your trips all revolve around wine, why not make wine the focus of your holiday?

Through its founders’ connections, Rare Wine Club has forged exclusive links with many legacy vintners, allowing our members to purchase exclusive wines ‘en primeur’.
Buying En Primeur means you are buying a wine before it has been bottled. It’s a system that started in Bordeaux, and has become increasingly important in Burgundy, the Rhône and Italy. Also known as Wine Futures, En Primeur refers to the process of buying wines before they are bottled and released onto the market. Wines are purchased exclusive of Duty and VAT and then usually shipped 2-3 years after the vintage.
The opening En Primeur price is almost always considerably cheaper than the future price of the wine on the open market. En Primeur can also be the only way to secure wines that are available in very limited quantities (some properties produce as little as 200 cases a year).
